Many people come to coaching with a clear sense that their direction needs to change, but not knowing what the exact destination will be.
It could be the dream of building their own business, changing their career or just a lingering sense that something’s off.
Coaching tackles this by strengthening 3 qualities. These are the 3 qualities I talk about in my discovery calls, because anyone can understand them, no matter their familiarity with coaching.
First of all, the coaching dialogue generates clarity by rapidly surfacing what’s most important to you.
Without clarity, you only have noise: inklings with no outlines.
With that clarity, you can focus. Identifying a clear goal and pushing off in the right direction.
Without focus, you only have aspirations: goals with no execution.
Finally, we get momentum. This is initiated through clarity and focus, but accelerated by the accountability of a coaching partnership. You know someone is waiting to hear how things are going; someone who has your back regardless.
Without accountability, you are on your own: struggling without feedback.
These qualities help you move forward, regardless of your goal. My job is plug you into each of these qualities, so that they can become the engines that drive forward the next phase of your life.
Once those qualities are in action, we can shift to obstacle clearance: getting things out of your way so you can continue to progress. Obstacles can be inner or outer: emotional, cognitive, technical or interpersonal. A good coach will help you navigate and clear each.
If you want to feel what it’s like to have the winds of clarity, focus and momentum in your sails, reach out for a free conversation. Who knows, we might get to the bottom of it before you have to hand over a penny.
